Windows 10 Raid 5
Ok so this seemed straightforward enough. I bought two large (3TB) platter disks and figured I'd raid them since platter disks are so fucking slow. Problem is I've never done a raid before. I am using the popular MSI X99s SLI Plus motherboard. I have set the SATA controller to raid mode, I have created a 6TB raid array in the raid bios. I boot back into windows and open Disk Management. Prompts me to initialize 2 (???) new disks of 745GB, it DOES NOT see a single 6 TB drive. I initialized as GPT. Dafuq is going on???

Windows 10 Raid 1
Dec 22, 2017 I would like to create a RAID 0 array using these. My problem is that I have a lot of programs and apps that I want to keep. I understand that I should back-up and restore but I am concerned that having just installed Windows 10, reinstalling the OS might be problematic as I obviously don't have an installation or OS recovery disc. Aug 11, 2015 Hey guys, Ive just recently purchased 2 Intel 120GB SSDs that I want to config in a Raid 0 on my PC. Im using a Asus Z97-P motherboard which I have confirmed is capable of RAID. So I wanted to do a fresh install of Windows 10 so Ive created a bootable USB. May 11, 2018 If you check my comp specs, you'll see I have a pretty nice set up that should handle the 2 SSDs in Raid. Over the years I have had anywhere from 2 to 5 SSDs in RAID 0 - BUT- this is my 1st try with the M.2 drives. Since I have an array of computers to use, I can let the ASRock one sit there while I try to figure out what I did wrong. How To Set Up Software RAID 0 for Windows and Linux.
